Thursday, 29 May, from 6:00 PM, you are invited to the first event developed within the exhibition “Après la lettre” by photographer Nicu Ilfoveanu, an occasion to meet director, artist, and sound engineer Andreas Bolm.
A close collaborator of Nicu Ilfoveanu in the field of cinematic creation, Bolm has accepted the invitation to present two short films as part of the exhibition. The screening will include his own short film – Jaba (37’, 2006) – and Ńeale Azbuirătoare (24’, 2022), a short directed by Alexandra Gulea, with sound by Andreas Bolm and cinematography by Nicu Ilfoveanu.
Addressing topics such as marginalization, uprootedness, and identity construction, these works enrich the conversation around the exhibition’s central themes, giving voice to individuals whose life realities are often overlooked.
At the same time, the event provides a space to reflect on the dynamics and value of collaborative approaches in artistic creation processes, broadening the exhibition’s perspective to consider how collective authorship influences artistic expression.
The post-screening discussions will be held in English.
