The selection was made by a jury composed of:
Sara Morais dos Santos Bruss – curator at HKW, Berlin;
Horea Avram – curator and Lecturer at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca;
and the Artep Gallery team.
The residencies will take place in Berlin, and the outcomes (the artworks) will be presented in a group exhibition scheduled for the fall of 2025. The exhibition will be curated by Cristiana Ursache, who will work closely with each artist to ensure the smooth progress of the residency.
Through this initiative, we aim to support Romanian artists in their process of research and experimentation, offering a favorable framework for the development of innovative artistic practices at the intersection of art, technology, and society. The project is dedicated to artists concerned with the impact of new technologies on humans and art, and to exposing them to the European context in approaching these issues.
The Artistic Residency 110 project is organized by the Artep Gallery Association and co-financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund (AFCN), session I/2025, in the thematic area of Creative Residencies.
